DyeStatFL Performance of the Week Poll - 4/20/2015

Congratulations to Kayley Delay of Fletcher High School in Jacksonville Beach, Florida for winning our DyeStatFL 4/13/2015 Performance of the Week following her State leading 4:57.93 1600 at the 4A District 1 meet.

Last week we saw runners compete in the remaining districts with hopes of making it to Regionals and beyond. Help us determine the DyeStatFL performance of the week by choosing up to three of the nominees below.

 

 

Isben Marcial North Port, FL: Currently ranked #1 in the boys 4A High Jump, Isben hit a height of 6’ 8” at the 4A District 8 Championships. Isben also won the boys long jump with a mark of 22’11.75” and the boys triple jump with a mark of 45’1.25”.

 

St. Thomas Aquinas Girls 4x400 Relay: At the 4A District 13 Championships the ladies from Ft. Lauderdale won the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:45.67. Their time was good enough for a FL #2 and US #4.

 

Kaylah Clark Miami Northwestern, FL:  At the 3A District 16 Championship Kaylah won both the shot put and discus. Kaylah won the discus with a mark of 127’9” and the shot put with a FL #3 mark of 43’5”. Last year MNW won their girls team title before the running finals ever took place, with their throwers scoring more points than the second place track team!

 

Danielle Bess American Heritage, FL: This 7th grader from American Heritage dropped the top 400m time in 2A with a 55.89 at the 2A District 15 Championship. Bess is currently the #1 7th grade 400m runner  in the country.

 

Calvary Christian Boys 4x800 Relay: At the 2A District 15 Championships the boys 4x800 team took over the 2A #1 ranking with a win in a time of 8:06.79. Their time is currently ranked #18 in Florida.

 

Jamal Barnes PK Young, FL: Jamal is the top ranked hurdler in 1A by winning the 110m and 300m hurdles at the 1A District 5 Championships. Jamal’s time of 14.93 last weekend is the 25th fastest time run in FL this year and the fastest wind legal time in 1A.

 

Devarius Turner Liberty, FL: At the 3A District 6 Championships Turner landed a pair of individual wins in the boys 100m and 200m dash. Devarius’s winning time of 10.64 in the 100m is currently tied for a FL #5. His winning time of 21.17 in the 200m is currently a FL #1 and US #6.

 

La’ Kayla Harris Miami Northwestern, FL: La’Kayla is the second athlete from MNW to be nominated this week. At the 3A District 16 Championships, La’Kayla ran away with a pair of individual wins in the girls 100m and 200m. In the 100m La’ Kayla won in time of 11.71 which currently ranks her FL #4 and US #9. Her winning time of 23.56 in the 200m currently ranks her FL #1 and US #3.

 

Teahna Daniels The First Academy, FL:  Competing against the Elites at the Pure Athletics meet under gusty conditions, Teahna exploded for 4th in the prelims going 11.15/+2.4.  She later came back in the finals in even windier conditions to go 11.21/+3.9.
