This week starts the official FHSAA Track and Field postseason, with some districts starting earlier than others. Help us pick the 4/13/05 DyeStatFL Performance of the week by choosing up to three of the nominees below.

 

Kayley Delay Fletcher, FL: At the 4A District 1 Championship, Delay literally ran away from the competition. In this double District aloingside 3A District 5, the girls 3A Champion (Audrey Carpenter) ran 5:13 in the 1600, immediately afterwards it was 4A’s turn. From the gun Kaley took off and put distance on the chase pack. Not letting up until the end, Kaley broke 5:00 by 3 seconds and posted a new DyeStat TFX Florida #1. Later that evening she posted an 11 Flat in the 3200, for another District Championship.

 

Vaquan Small Booker T. Washington, FL: At the 2A District 16 Championship, Vaquan Small brought home a couple of individual W’s. In the 800m run, Vaquan won with a 1:58.82. In the boys high jump, Vaquan jumped a FL #1 and US #19 with a height of 6’ 9.5”.

 

Brittany Gill Dillard, FL: In the 3A District 15 Championships, Junior Brittany Gill had a very impressive day. Brittany competed in and won all 4 events she ran. In the girls 4x800m, Dillard (Gill’s Team) won with a time of 9:50. Gill won the 1600m in 5:13, the 800m in 2:20.88, and the 3200m in 12:37.

 

Chelsea Francis Atlantic Coast, FL: In 4A District 1, USF Bull signee, Chelsea Francis had a pair of individual wins to help her team place second to Flagler Palm Coast. In the 100m, Chelsea won with a time of 11.88, FL#5. In the 200m, Chelsea won with a time of 24.61 racking up 2 District Championships.

 

Jonah Daniels Episcopal, FL: In 2A District 4, Jonah won 3 individual events and was part of Episcopal’s winning 4x400m relay team. In the boy’s 100m dash, Jonah won with a time of 10.88, In the 200m dash, Jonah won with a time of 22.18, and in the long jump Jonah won with a best mark of 23’ 01”.

 

Symone Mason Miami Southridge, FL: In 4A District 15, Mason was a big part of the Southridge Spartans winning the girl’s district title. In the girls 100m Symone won with a time of 11.71. In the 200m, she won with a time of 24.01. Mason was also part of the winning 4x400 relay team that went 3:59.27.

 

Allen Wiggins First Academy, FL: At the 1A District 7 Championships, Allen came up big in the Shotput with a win and a new PR. His best throw was 52’ 11”, which was 11” better than his previous best and 3” better than where he started at this season. His mark ranks him FL #5 and #1 in 1A.

 

Adrian Killins Mainland, FL: At the 3A District 5 Championships, Adrian played a key role in Mainland’s team victory. In the boys 100m dash, he won in a 3A leading time of 10.57. Adrian also won the boys 200m dash in a time of 21.92.

 

Cedrina Singletary Paxon, FL: While most runners were competing at their district meets this week, Cedrina had the opportunity to run at the Taco Bell Classic. In the girls 100m, Cedrina placed 3rd with a US #35 in 11.96. In the 200m Cedrina placed 3rd with a 24.48. In the prelims she ran a US #36 and 2A leading 24.46.
