Vashti Cunningham, Bishop Gorman NV: The junior high jumper broke the national record in the high jump when she cleared 6-4.25 at the Mt. SAC Relays. Amy Acuff set the previous record in 1993 and shared with Toni Young since 2009. Cunningham took three strong attempts at 6-6. Her clearance is currently No. 3 in the world.
Matthew Maton, unattached OR: The senior ran in the men's 1,500 meters at the Oregon Relays and finished in 3:42.54. That broke Galen Rupp's Oregon all-time best and moved him to No. 3 all-time behind Alan Webb and Jim Ryun.
Teahna Daniels, First Academy FL: The senior was timed in 11.15 for 100 meters with a tailwind of 2.4 meters per second. That's over the allowable for records purposes, but still really fast.
Courtney Corrin, Harvard-Westlake CA: Jumped a new US#1 20-8.50 in the long jump at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Lauren Rain Williams, Oaks Christian CA: Sped to a new US#1 23.19 in the 200 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Alexa Efraimson, Nike pro: The Camas WA senior ran 4:09.43 in the 1,500 meters at Mt. SAC.
Rai Benjamin, Mt Vernon NY: Ran a US#1 53.91 in the 400 hurdles and US#3 21.05 in the 200 meters at the New York Relays.
Stephanie Jenks, Linn-Mar IA: She ran a new US#1 4:40.78 in the 1,600 meters at the Kansas Relays.
McEachern GA girls relay: The 4x400 established a new US#1 with 3:42.46 at the McEachern Invitational.
Great Oak CA girls relay: They improved their own US#1 time in the 4x1600 relay with 19:53.81 at the Mt. SAC Relays. That's No. 3 all-time.
Great Oak CA boys relay: The 4x800 squad ran a US#1 time of 7:37.09 at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Elena Bruckner, Valley Christian CA: She threw a US#1 mark in the shot put with 50-5.25 at the CCS Top 8.
Dominic Fonseca, West KS: Ran a new US#1 6:04.57 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Kansas Relays.
Julia Stevensen, Hackley NY: She ran a US#1 7:06.34 in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at teh New York Relays. She also ran 10:06.44 for 3,000.
Ben Millligan, Sherwood OR: He jumped 7-00.25 in the high jump at the Oregon Relays, good for US#2.
Laura Marty, Bishop Blanchet WA: The junior cleared US#5 13-6 in the pole vault for a new all-time Washington record at the Pasco Invitational.
Tori Weeks, Cabot AR: She jumped US#2 13-10 and beat her sister and national leader, Lexi, at the Lake Hamilton Invitational.
Lindsey Bradley, Richland WA: She ran a US#3 9:39.99 in the 3,000 meters at the Oregon Relays. The only times faster this year were timed en route of 3,200 meters at Arcadia.
Bobby Colantonio, Barrington RI: Won the hammer competition at New York Relays with US#1 238-7.
Matt Plowman, York IL: He won the 1,600 at the Kansas Relays in 4:11.43 to earn a trip to the adidas Dream Mile.
Josh Eiker, Galesburg IL: Doubled 10.58 and 21.05 for state-leading marks in the sprints at the Galesburg ABC Invitational.
